Test For Food Sensitivities Jeanette October 21, 2014 The Journey The detoxification process did two things - it boosted our nutritional levels and it eliminated the foods that most people are sensitive to. So after the 4 weeks of detox, we added back foods, one at a time. Of the 8 food groups, we chose one per day, then ate it at breakfast and lunch. Then we waited 48 hours to see if there were any delayed symptoms. The 8 groups included: dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt) gluten (wheat, rice, pasta, cereal) corn eggs nuts legumes (beans) nightshades (tomato, potato, peppers) shellfish soy It's amazing that we made it through the 4 weeks of detox without eating any of these things - either directly or as part of a food. (When you read the labels you'll be amazed at how many contain soy, corn syrup, and milk proteins!) As we tested for each food group, we held our breath. After all, the last thing you want is to find out you're sensitive to a food you've been eating all your life. Luckily, we both made it through the testing without showing any problems. Whew!
