Sweet Potato Wedges Jeanette March 26, 2015 Recipes Since I am not able to eat white potatoes, I'm always looking for a new way to fix sweet potatoes. This was delicious! Of course, it was only AFTER I'd eaten it that I realized I'm not able to eat chili powder with my current food restrictions (Chili powder contains oregano and garlic, neither of which I'm able to eat right now. Always check ingredients on every item you buy if you have food sensitivities. Items are hidden everywhere!) So next time I fix these potato wedges, I'll have to leave out the chili powder and add a little more cayenne. Spicy Sweet Potato Wedges 2015-04-23 19:14:40 Serves 2 Delicious with just enough spice to make them interesting. If you prefer you can substitute white potatoes for the sweet potatoes. Ingredients 3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges 1 T oil (I use canola or almond oil) 1 T brown sugar 1/2 t chili powder 1/2 t salt 1/8 t cayenne pepper Instructions Preheat over to 400 degrees. Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges. Toss with oil. Mix sugar and seasonings and add to potatoes. Toss till coated. Roast on a flat pan at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Notes I generally use a plastic bag to toss the potatoes. Less messy and you can toss the bag when finished. You can cover the pan or cookie sheet with foil, then toss it when finished. Again - no mess.
