With the new fruit restrictions, I had to change what went into my smoothie. We also discovered that one of the supplements I was putting into my smoothies had vanilla in it, so that had to go.

Here is the new smoothie recipe I end up drinking a couple of times per day.

Simple Strawberry Smoothie
Serves 1
This a staple of my diet, once or twice a day.

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup water
  2. 1 cup almond milk, unflavored, unsweetened
  3. 1 scoop plain unflavored pea protein
  4. 1 cup fresh watermelon
  5. 1 cup frozen strawberries
Instructions
  1. Combine the water, almond milk and pea protein and stir in the blender.
  2. Add watermelon. Stir.
  3. Add strawberries. Stir.
Notes
  1. I will often substitute a pear or plum for the watermelon, but I always use the strawberries because that's the only frozen fruit I can eat.
  2. Yes, this makes a 32 oz smoothie, but when that's breakfast you appreciate it!
