How exciting! After further consultation with Dr. Botts, we found several additional foods that I can add to my diet.

  • Quinoa
  • Capers
  • Raw cauliflower
  • Raw cucumber
  • Vinegar
  • Kale
  • Tapioca
  • Almond butter
  • Hard liquor, depending on its source ingredients
  • Jalapenos
  • Sauerkraut
  • Raw white potatoes
  • Amaranth
  • Sorghum

I can see that these can offer a lot more flexibility. For example, one of the things I noticed with the first list is a lack of green vegetables – celery and raw broccoli was IT! So adding kale and cucumbers has doubled the number of vegetable choices.

So now we’re off! After careful consideration and consulting with my husband (whose dinners will be impacted!), I have committed to going forward with this very restrictive eating plan for the next 6 months. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
