You've heard it before, but it bears repeating - Drink More Water!

We are told repeatedly to drink 8 glasses per day. But it turns out, that is not enough - unless you weigh 125 pounds!

You need to take your body weight in pounds and divide by 2. That is the number of ounces you need to be drinking every day!

So if you weigh 200 pounds, you should be drinking 100 ounces of water each day. That's 12.5 glasses of water per day.

And not just any old water. You should drink purified or natural water, not what's coming out of your faucet.

We solved the problem by having water delivered to our home. It comes in 5 gallon jugs that we put on the water cooler the company provides. With both hot and cold water spigots, it makes it easy to drink water.

We also use bottles of water - the 16 ounce size. Bob takes a case of those to work and keeps them under his desk or in the frig, so that he doesn't have an excuse. I know - technically we should only drink water from glass, but I figure it's better to drink enough water from whatever, than to only drink from glass containers.

For me, since I work at home, I keep a glass or bottle of water next to me all day.

Once you get used to drinking the amount you should, you'll find you're actually thirsty when you haven't had enough! Until then, count your water on a tracking sheet or your in your fitness app. (The Fitbit app I use has a place to count water.)

For now, go fill up a glass and drink more water!
